Early Life and Education

Lovedeep Gupta, the Co-founder and CMO of Store My Goods, hails from the modest town of Modinagar, where he spent his formative years. After completing his schooling in Ghaziabad and Delhi, he pursued engineering, a path that initially did not ignite his passion. However, driven by a desire to join the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), he persevered.

Upon failing to secure admission to the IITs, Gupta enrolled in a private engineering college in Noida. It was during this time that he discovered his true calling in sales and marketing.

Sales Experience and Corporate Journey

After graduating, Gupta joined Zomato as a Sales Executive. In this role, he honed his skills in onboarding restaurants and closing deals. He was motivated by the challenges and the opportunity to learn from industry veterans.

Subsequently, Gupta joined Paytm, where he worked in the online-to-offline (O2O) vertical. This experience exposed him to the retail industry and allowed him to forge connections with business owners from various brands.

MBA and Marketing Expertise

Recognizing the need for a broader understanding of business, Gupta pursued an MBA from MDI Gurgaon. During his internship at PepsiCo, he deepened his knowledge of advertising and marketing.

After graduating from MDI, Gupta joined Cipla and later Perfect Daily, where he led the Chupa Chups brand category. These experiences further fueled his desire to launch his own venture.

Birth of Store My Goods

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gupta and his sister opened a cafe in Delhi NCR. However, the cafe had to close due to the nationwide lockdown. Undeterred, Gupta saw the lockdown as an opportunity to explore new business ideas.

Observing the challenges faced by individuals who had returned to their hometowns during the lockdown, Gupta and his sister identified a need for storage solutions. Many had rented apartments in Delhi NCR but were struggling to pay rent and secure employment in their hometowns.

With a modest investment, they launched Store My Goods in 2021. The company offered cost-effective storage space in a shared facility in Noida. Word-of-mouth quickly spread, and the customer base grew organically.

Expansion and Growth

Encouraged by the positive response, Store My Goods replicated its model in other cities, including Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune. Today, the company has a presence in over 50 cities, providing storage and relocation services to thousands of customers.

Shark Tank Investment and Recognition

In 2022, Store My Goods participated in the first season of Shark Tank India. Gupta’s pitch impressed investors Piyush Bansal and Namita Thapar, who recognized the potential of the concept. This investment gave the company the confidence to transition from a part-time venture to a full-fledged business.

Customer-Centric Approach

At the heart of Store My Goods’ operations lies an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. The company prioritizes quality service in every interaction, whether it’s a single pickup or a large-scale move.

Global Expansion and Future Plans

Building on its success in India, Store My Goods aspires to expand globally and replicate its model in other countries. Inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s mother’s adage, “If nothing happens, there will be experience,” Gupta believes that every endeavor, regardless of its outcome, contributes to growth and learning.
