Early Life and Career Path

Nidhi Saini’s path to success was not without its challenges. Growing up in a small town, she was initially expected to pursue Home Science in college, a traditional path for girls at the time. However, Nidhi had her heart set on Economics Honors at Lady Shriram College. Despite family pressure, she eventually enrolled in Home Science at Lady Irwin College. While initially disappointed, Nidhi gradually came to appreciate the subject, recognizing its relevance to everyday life.

Marriage and the Turning Point

After college, Nidhi married and became a mother. However, the relationship proved to be unfulfilling and loveless. Torn between her duty as a mother and her own well-being, Nidhi initially chose to remain in the marriage. However, the constant emotional and physical turmoil took its toll on both herself and her son.

One evening, while driving home with her husband and son, a bitter argument escalated into a shouting match. As Nidhi looked at her son, she saw terror in his eyes. That moment, she knew she had to protect him from the toxic environment they were creating.

The Decision to Divorce

Despite the stigma associated with divorce in India, Nidhi resolved to end the marriage and move on. It was a difficult decision, but she knew it was the right one for her son and herself.

Rebuilding a Life

In 2009, Nidhi returned to India, where she faced the challenges of being a single mother. Her family was supportive, but Nidhi struggled with shattered self-confidence and self-esteem. She considered giving up, but her son’s presence gave her the strength to persevere.

Determined to rebuild her life, Nidhi started a small home decor business from her basement. It provided her with an income and allowed her to spend time with her son. However, she realized that she wasn’t truly happy.

A New Journey

Nidhi’s father suggested she become a teacher, an idea that intrigued her. With trepidation, she accepted a teaching position and found immense joy in it. During this time, she fell in love again, a relationship that lasted for a decade.

Heartbreak and Self-Discovery

After ten years, Nidhi’s partner chose his dreams over her, leaving her heartbroken and lost. She questioned her purpose, lost interest in life, and sought help from a psychiatrist.

Amidst the darkness, Nidhi found a glimmer of hope in her son’s words. He asked her why she had stopped laughing. His question jolted her back to reality. She realized that she had become a victim of her circumstances and that she needed to reclaim her life.

With the help of a coach, Nidhi embarked on a journey of self-discovery. She changed her mindset, empowered her way of thinking, and started to unravel the knots that had bound her for so long.

Discovering a New Purpose

As Nidhi changed her perspective, the world around her began to transform. Her relationship with her family and her son improved, and she found a newfound confidence in herself.

Her journey inspired her to help others overcome similar challenges. She became a certified coach and dedicated herself to empowering others to unlock their potential and live fulfilling lives.

In the past year, Nidhi has stepped outside of her comfort zone and taken on challenges that she never thought possible. She has represented India and South Asia at the World Championship of Public Speaking, becoming the first female from India to reach the semi-finals.

A Message of Hope

Nidhi’s journey teaches us that dreams have no age. It doesn’t matter when you start, what matters is that you have the courage to chase them.
